The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is prominent at the University of Ruhuna with its large number of undergraduate students and staff. The annual student intake is over 500 and currently the Faculty offers more than 400 course units under 13 disciplines. The Faculty provides theoretical and practical knowledge to students to improve their independent and critical thinking, logical analysis, effective communication skills and teamwork participation.
