Student societies are very active in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Most of the Departments have their own student societies. Except the post of Senior Treasurer, all the office bearers are students and each society has a constitution passed by the Faculty Board. These societies organize annual field trips, researches, surveys and other academic events such as seminars, debates and competitions. Moreover, the social and cultural events organize by these societies are very popular among the university community.
